Job Summary & Overview – Manufacturing Technician I
Technician will be responsible for the manufacture and assembly of ASU’s vast library of filter and filtration assemblies for night vision cockpit modifications.
The use of waterjet, laser, CNC milling devices will be employed to cut various glass & poly-composition materials.
Flexibility to work a sliding-shift based on production demands.
Operate machinery such as waterjet, laser, small-scale CNC mills, 3D printers, hones, drill presses, as well as prime & paint finishing to produce filter and filter assemblies.
Ability to read, interpret, and adhere to all specification control drawings/blueprints and combined work instructions.
Presents a strong initiative to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Maintains high degree of focus and attention to detail.
Takes pride and ownership in producing a superior product.
Ability to take direction, and work well both independently without supervision, and as part of a small cohesive team.
Ability to prioritize and manage daily/weekly scheduled production slate.
Works to continually strive for reduction in material waste.
Required to conduct annual physical inventory as well as periodic cycle counts of raw materials used for manufacture.
Demonstrated ability to problem solve in an autonomous manufacturing environment.
Versed in the use of calipers, micrometers and other handheld measurement devices used for parts inspection to verify specification conformance.
Utilizes safe practices and adheres to all established safety guidelines.
Performs all routine maintenance and scheduled calibrations on all machinery as required.

High school or equivalent (required)
Technical degree or equivalent (preferred)
Basic math and computer skills
Previous line manufacturing experience (preferred)
